Talk4U is an emergency service that allows your phone to talk for you when you can’t . Fontera developed the entire system based on Talk 4U’s requirements including the web, WAP and IVR components.

After registering and completing the notification details, the number 9 button on a member’s phone is programmed to dial Talk4U. In an emergency paramedics or first responders can hold down the number 9 button on a member’s phone. When the number 9 button is pressed, it sends messages to your chosen contacts to notify them that something has happened to you along with a link that pinpoints your location (using the mobile internet on their phone).

Another message is sent back to your phone telling the paramedics what your blood type is, what your allergies are and whether you have medical aid or not.
